The CPU 1511-1 PN is the cost-effective entry-level CPU forstandard and fail-safe applications with medium requirements forprocessing speed and speed of response in discrete productiontechnology. With its work memory size, this CPU is also suitablefor medium-sized applications. It can be used as a PROFINET IOcontroller or as distributed intelligence (PROFINET I-Device). Theintegrated PROFINET IO IRT interface is designed as a 2-portswitch, enabling a linear topology to be set up in the system.
